Inspired by Rosemary
The Grit & Grace collection was created in honour of my Nanna, Rosemary — a tough, resilient, elegantly presented woman who owned, worked and managed cattle and sheep stations, dairies, and cane farms with grit, pride, and unstoppable strength. . And she lived her life with her hair styled up, her nails painted, and often lipstick in the dairy with some sort of leopard print to boot. ( known as " the spotty nanna " to my younger cousins. )She is a testament to female strength through hardship and heartbreak both in the relationship to the land and in life.
This line is a tribute to her… and to all women who carry both dust and diamonds. Every piece is handmade, perfectly imperfect, and crafted with love.
